Technique is a skill and like any other skill needs to be trained and given attention. Give yourself time to learn and perfect new skills.
- Listen to your Coach
Learn to listen only to your Coach and avoid input from non-professionals. But as no one knows you better than yourself, of course also listen to yourself.
Tips for successful results
- Quality food
The basics for good training results is good nutrition. Eat well 90% of the time to allow yourself some freedom as well.
- Good rest (day & night)
A minimum of 7 to 8 hour’s sleep is paramount as every athlete needs to recharge his/her batteries, physically and mentally. Your body is a very clever machine and will not work at its peak if not well looked-after.
- Be humble
Know when to stop, re-think, delete and start again. Sometimes we become complacent and do not realise that we are doing something wrong.
Of course you want to train hard, but enjoying life outside the box/gym is also important. Make sure to have time for your family and friends.
There are no stupid questions, ask your coach if you have any doubts.
- Give it all
Like everything else in life, you can only succeed if you give your 100%. Training is no different. Do not expect good results if you do not train hard.
